Ch-9 Mr. Viego
With teary eyes, I left the cave and the tunnel was a complete puzzle. I had nothing with me except a flute which I did not even know had what use to me. The tunnel was dark, gloomy and frightening. Grandma's thoughts were also roaming around my head. The walls of the tunnel were covered with algae and beachdrops .
Some plants completely triggered me as they had colours which I had never seen and shapes which were unacceptable. Some were like a ball with such a thin skin that every part within them was visible. Interior of them was a complete rainbow. These ones were the smallest but the prettiest to me. Other were irregular in shape. But all had their own weird and unique colours which I could not recognize. Many of them had such thick skins whereas some were too skinny.
The most different one was a giant, shiny, lustrous and bright coloured plant. I could not control myself and the texture and structure of the plant attracted me towards itself. My finger was getting closer to it and my heart was racing.
And ttaa.., as I touched it, the plant made a sound like squirrel and did a backflip and landed crashing on the ground! I was horrified on seeing this.
I was ready to run away when the creature held my hand and spoke in a language which was not understandable to me. He was about to fall upon me when he observed me from head to toe and looked at the flute in my hand. I was staring at the creature and I noticed that its colour was a little greenish and it seemed to be the squirrel granny was talking about. The creature held his own head and glared at me with one eye and spelled something like, "Gega...Ne...Gega..." and gave me a smile and started to talk with me in English!
He greeted me and told me that he was Mr.Viego, granny's friend in army. They both had left the army together and were the best friends. He told that he was trapped in this world from about 26 years. He said that granny was the first creature he had seen who had the guts to leave the army and escape this world. He asked about my name and not to be afraid from him. We shook hands and started to walk.
He told that there were many dangers throughout the tunnel's way and the most dangerous one was the kiam pal.
To be continued...
