The Dream Catcher: Ch-10 The Journey begins

Image
Ch-10     Mr. Viego was a very cheerful and charming person. His laugh would give me goosebumps. He was huge but his fur was as soft as cotton. At times, he would let me sleep on his fur which felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. We had no idea at anytime whether day was going on or night because we were underground. The tunnel was also always dark. We only had one source of light that was a corn like structure to me which Mr. Viego always kept hanging on his arm. He used to light it after every 5 hours.   He used to ask me about my world and my family. He was very fascinated on hearing about my school, my family and the rules we had. I felt like he had never experienced things like that. He was becoming more sad as I was telling him how I enjoyed with grandpa. I noticed something dark green coming out of his eyes. He wiped it immediately. I gave him my hankerchief I had in my pocket. He hugged me...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-9 Mr. Viego

Image
Ch-9               Mr. Viego With teary eyes, I left the cave and the tunnel was a complete puzzle. I had nothing with me except a flute which I did not even know had what use to me. The tunnel was dark, gloomy and frightening. Grandma's thoughts were also roaming around my head. The walls of the tunnel were covered with algae and beachdrops .  Some plants completely triggered me as they had colours which I had never seen and shapes which were unacceptable. Some were like a ball with such a thin skin that every part within them was visible. Interior of them was a complete rainbow. These ones were the smallest but the prettiest to me. Other were irregular in shape. But all had their own w...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-8 The Tunnel

Ch-8              The Tunnel She was only regretting my question again and again. She just kept on saying I will tell you afterwards, I will tell you afterwards and then she used to change the topic. It was night now and she had made a bed for me out of straws, grass and cotton. It was a really soft bed. She made me lay down on that soft bed and she lied down beside me.   She starting telling me a story of fairy tales which she used to tell me when I was young. Her voice was seeming more melodious to me than before. As I gave a hug on her hairy body, I fell asleep. It was the midnight and there were dark purple clouds outside and the sky was as black as coal. I was awoken ...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-7 I Meet Grandma

Image
Ch-7 I Meet Grandma "I know about your family because I am also a part of it," I said. Her face got as white as paper. The lioness then said," Tell me clearly, who are you or else..." She kept her hand on my shoulder and gave me a wild look. I got a bit scared at first. The lioness looked in my eyes and a tear of sadness rolled down her eyes. I made courage and spoke up," I am your granddaughter! Kimmie!" She felt unconsicous and hugged me tightly. Tears of happiness rolled down both of ours cheeks. We both remained in a hug for 5 minutes. I asked her if she was alive, why was I told that she was dead? She gav...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-6 My Entry in the Magical World

Image
Ch-6  My Entry in the Magical World I woke up in the middle of somewhere. I was lying on a pile of sand. I was not able to open my eyes at first as I was feeling very weak. I tried to get up but was falling again and again. At last I got up and screamed on seeing a lioness with wings.  The lioness's skin and fur were as white as paper and her feathers were of blue colour. Her eyes were as green as grass. The lioness seemed to be more shocked than me. I ran and hid behind a tree. I was surprised again on seeing the tree because the trunk of the tree was of red colour and its leaves were black in colour. I felt like someone was pulling me. I looked down and was frightened to see the roots of the tree pulling me in the earth. I screamed for help and to my surprise, the lioness came running towards me and she spoke some words. A blue light came and the roots of the tree disappeared. The lioness then said," Little girl, hurry up and sit on my back. Fast!" I was not su...

I wanted to go out of my house to do some more researh but my parents told me not to go out of the house as grandpa was missing. They even employed four bodyguards for me. Each of them was six feet tall and always wore black suit and black goggles. Their muscles were bigger than my face! They stayed with me whole day lo...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-4 Grandma's Dream

Image
Ch-4 Grandma's dream I started to get suspicious about the Dream Catcher. Days were flying like wind and it was one month now since grandpa was missing. I went to my school and public libraries of the city to know about the Dream catcher. One hot and sunny day, I went to a library in the Green Square, a famous place where evergreen trees were there to study about the dream catcher. There I found a book in the farthest corner of the library. I admired all the pages of the book. The title of the book was The Hidden Truth of the Dream Catcher by Robert Acker. It was written that there was a Dream Catcher created by a Amleek God (Amlees is a country) called Sluto of the underworld to destroy a demon named Corinre Agre of Lisban. The powers of the Dream catcher were also written there. The main power of the dream catcher was that it couldn't be destroyed by any God, human or animal except the King of Gods, Odepos who was the most powerful among all the Gods and it was believed th...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-3 The Envelope

Image
Ch-3 The Envelope  The tick-tock of the clock was echoing in my ears. I was impatient to know what had happened. I waited for a long time and was continuously watching my room's door, and thinking, "Now grandpa will come. Now he will come." Our  home was a place where every time some or the other noise used to come but now nothing. I don't know when I fell asleep. When I woke up I realised I was in our house's drawing room  with a blanket and a pillow over me. One of our maids, Laya was sitting next to me on a chair. She was a very humble lady and was like my grandma. I asked her eagerly, "How I am in the drawing room and where is grandpa?" She replied, "Sir told me to do this and he said that he has to go somewhere for some work so he will be busy and he also said that he will be back in few days." I was shocked to hear this because for the first time grandpa had gone somewhere without telling me. I took the phone and called mama to know if g...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-2 Mr. Danny Louis

Image
Ch-2 Mr. Danny Louis The hot days of Summer had started. Mama and papa were always busy in the works of the hotel. Grandpa and I were usually alone at home. Grandpa used to keep me happy all the time and he never let me become sad. I used to spent most of my time with grandpa rather than with my parents because he was the one who was with me always but my parents were always occupied by some or the other work of the hotel.  All our relatives were living in other cities of the US so we rarely had any guests in our house. There was only one person who used to visit us and that was Mr. Danny Louis . He was grandpa's friend. He used to visit grandpa every second Saturday of each month. He seemed to be a suspicious man to me because whenever he used to come, he always used to run to grandpa's room straightaway as he entered the house. One more thing about him was fishy that he always used to wear the same clothes. He used to wear black Fedora cap with white shirt and blue tie and a...

The Dream Catcher: Ch-1 The Frankstons

Image
Ch-1 The Frankstons I was just a girl of eleven when all this happened. My grandmother whom I loved a lot, passed away when I was young. I lived with my parents and beloved grandfather. My father owned a big hotel in the city of Mecenia, USA, where we lived and my mother was a housewife but she helped my father in managing the small jobs of the hotel.  Our hotel was quite big and its name was Hotel Star Inn. It had all facilities from spa to perfect suites and from tasty food to lovely gardens and clean and big swimming pools. Our staff was also very loyal and hardworking. We had nearly six thousand rooms and five hundred customers per day. Our hotel was the biggest, most beautiful, affordable and the best one in the city and nearby cities. I too loved to go in the hotel. I mostly used to go there with grandpa and on weekends because I had no school on weekends.   FRANKSTONS  Before grandma's death, grandpa used to remain happy always but after she died he started ...
