The Dream Catcher: Ch-10 The Journey begins
Ch-10
Mr. Viego was a very
cheerful and charming person. His laugh would give me goosebumps. He was huge but
his fur was as soft as cotton. At times, he would let me sleep on his fur which
felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. We had no idea at anytime whether day was
going on or night because we were underground. The tunnel was also always dark.
We only had one source of light that was a corn like structure to me which Mr.
Viego always kept hanging on his arm. He used to light it after every 5 hours.
He used to ask me
about my world and my family. He was very fascinated on hearing about my
school, my family and the rules we had. I felt like he had never experienced
things like that. He was becoming more sad as I was telling him how I enjoyed
with grandpa. I noticed something dark green coming out of his eyes. He wiped
it immediately. I gave him my hankerchief I had in my pocket. He hugged me
tightly. I also made him feel comfortable. The green substance was none other
than his tears. I enquired the reason for his crying. He told that he also had
a grandfather in this world only whom he loved a lot. He was only his family
and only one who loved him. I too had tears in my eyes. I said to him that I also
loved him to bits and granny too a lot. And I gave him a hug. I felt like
everything was alright and to get better.
We both slept that
night well. Next morning, we were woken up by a thumping above our heads. Mr.
Viego picked me up and started get rolled and run. I was terrified. I could not
even utter a word. He stopped and kept me down. He calmed me down and told me
that the thumping was done by the yellow-coloured eagles. He told that they
were the predators. They were their enemies. They could even eat them alive. He
said that it was time was the real journey to start.
The first step was to
get out of the tunnel. To do this we had to go through many dangers and the
last and the most dangerous one was siam pal. He told that the first danger was
10 jims away which was equal to 75 kilo meters away We kept on walking for days
and days. My legs pained so much that I could not feel them. We only can some
amount of food and water which was also over now. Finally after almost 2 weeks,
we reached our first danger, siam pal.
To be continued...
